Purpose
Your body is like a tapestry made of trillions of cells, which are organized to form its structure and carryout many critical functions necessary for daily living. Healthy and properly functioning cells are necessary for maintaining good health.

Daily, your body’s cells are either dying or replicating into new cells. This is a normal physiological process that occurs naturally and happens without your having to think about it. Normal cell-to-cell communication is also necessary for the development of new cells and for the maintenance of healthy cells. This function must be properly maintained for the replication of healthy cell structures and to achieve optimal health.

The body is bombarded by damaging free radicals and toxins, which can disrupt the process of creating new cells and their typical functions. The generation of free radicals is a consequence of normal processes (metabolism) within the body and cannot be avoided. To some extent free radicals are necessary and part of normal physiological processes.

In today’s environment, the body is bombarded by an exceptionally high amount of toxins and other cell disruptors like free radicals, which if not kept in check, can have a negative impact on health.

Without adequate protection, the number of toxins and free radicals outnumber the body’s ability to adequately fight them. This puts the body into oxidative stress and toxic overload. Glutathione (GSH)
GSH is necessary for the defense and maintenance of healthy cells and their functions. It serves a protective role in its ability to neutralize cell damaging free radicals and assists with the removal of toxins within cells (Forman, Zhang, & Rinna, 2009).

Until recent advances, most dietary forms of glutathione are broken down in the digestive system making them incapable of being absorbed in the blood and cells of the body. PurXcel utilizes a proprietary form of glutathione, which has been shown in clinical trial to significantly increase GSH within the blood and specific immune cells (Richie, et al., 2015).

Superoxide Dismutase (SOD)
SOD is an enzyme found in every cell of the body. It is an internal antioxidant defense mechanism, which helps keep oxidative stress at bay.

In clinical trial, superoxide dismutase ingredient brand named SOD B Etramel® established improvements in perceived stress, physical and mental fatigue and an overall improvement in the quality of life (Carillon, Notin, Schmitt, Simoneau, & Lacan, 2014).

Aloe Vera
The leaf of the Aloe vera plant contains phytonutrients with known antioxidant and other health-promoting properties. This plant has been used for centuries for its therapeutic properties. It supports a healthy inflammatory response thereby extending support to the immune system (Nejatzadeh-Barandozi, 2013).

PurXcel uses an exclusive and proprietary form of aloe known (BioAloe®) to have polymannose, a unique polysaccharide. In clinical trial, this ingredient when combined with other ingredients demonstrated cognitive function support (Martin, et al., 2017).

Synergistic Ingredients
Vitamin C
This essential (meaning it must be obtained through diet or supplements) nutrient acts as powerful antioxidant and it helps regenerate vitamin E prolonging its protective effects. Supports the immune system (Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, 2019).

Vitamin E
An essential nutrient that can halt further generation of free radical chain reactions. This fat-soluble vitamin is especially helpful in fighting oxidation (damage caused by free radicals) of fats like LDL cholesterol (Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, 2019).

Selenium

N-acetyl L-cysteine (NAC)
NAC is a precursor to the body’s production of glutathione. Supports detoxification and neutralization of free radicals [antioxidant] (Dean, Giorlando, & Berk, 2011).

Alpha Lipoic Acid
An ingredient with the ability to directly fight damaging free radicals. It helps with the regeneration of other antioxidants like vitamins C & E and glutathione (Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, 2019). It has been shown to especially help protect nerve tissues (Rochette, Ghibu, Richard, Zeller, & Cottin, 2013).

Moringa Oleifera
Moringa oleifera has immune, antioxidant and liver protective properties. In addition to promoting to maintaining a healthy inflammatory response, this unique ingredient supports liver function, which is vital to the body’s detoxification processes (Anwar, Latif, Ashraf, & Gilani, 2007).

Turmeric
Curcumin obtained from turmeric spice has antioxidant and neuroprotective properties. It also helps maintain a healthy inflammatory response within the body (Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, 2019).

Broccoli (sulforaphane)
This sulfur containing vegetable contains unique phytonutrients like sulforaphane. This phytonutrient assists in the release of Nrf2, which participates in the neutralization of free radicals, liver detoxification processes and supports a healthy inflammatory response (Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, 2019).

Cordyceps sinensis
A mushroom-like substance, cordyceps has been used traditionally for thousands of years as a tonic for cardiovascular, immune and respiratory support. Certain components in cordyceps have antioxidant and immunological actions (Tuli, Sandhu, & Sharma, 2014).

Milk Thistle
Silymarin, a compound of milk thistle, has been shown to have hepatoprotection (liver), immune supporting and free radical neutralization properties. It may help by supporting the cell membrane’s functions of keeping toxins from entering and shuttling them out (Post-White, Ladas, & Kelly, 2007).

Blueberry
Blueberries contain flavonoid compounds with free radical scavenging benefits to the brain and immune modulating effects to help maintain a healthy immune system. These properties suggest it may support a healthy inflammatory response and have neuroprotective properties (Spencer, 2010).

Schisandra
This herb has been used to help maintain liver function. Certain constituents of Schisandra have immune supporting properties by helping with the maintenance of healthy inflammatory responses (Oh, et al., 2010).

Grape seed extract

Pomegranate
